Dr. Mateo completed Medical School in Havana, Cuba in 2000, and completed his intense medical Residency training at The University of Calgary in 2009.
Dr. Mateo has a General Medicine Practice in Calgary, and has a great passion for helping immigrants like himself, which is why he also has a practice in the area of refugee health. He has a special interest in Medical Aesthetics, which lead him to complete a number of courses and seminars in Medical Aesthetics here in Calgary and in Vancouver over the past few years.
In Dr. Mateo's free time, he loves spending time with his family and friends, and is passionate about travelling. He loves sports, but his greatest passion is spending time with his dog.
Dr Mateo can be found at Elegance Medispa, chatting with everyone, always wanting to laugh and give advice. He is a kind, gentle soul, and is such an important team member at Elegance Medispa.

Courtney is passionate about cosmetic injectables, CoolSculpting, laser facial treatments and skin health. With years of experience working with top dermatologists and medical aesthetic specialists in the city, she is committed to providing all of her clients with incredible results.
Courtney is highly experienced with Botox injections and Dermal Fillers in a variety of areas. She is also an expert in body contouring with CoolSculpting, laser/skin treatments, and pharmaceutical grade skincare products, as well as in treating fat pockets such as double chins with Belkyra. Thanks to this wide range of skills, Courtney is able to tailor services and products to her clients’ needs for the most natural, radiant, and refreshed results.

Taylor has over 9 years of experience in managing a multi-million dollar facility. During this time, she has worked with clients, staff, and other health care providers. In a fast-paced and demanding environment, Taylor has developed extremely strong organizational skills and problem solving, and excels at managing a large facility with many interwoven parts. Taylor has great compassion and a strong work ethic. She always strives to maintain professional behaviour while being friendly and approachable. Her professional and welcoming personality is a great fit in the Elegance environment.

Dana Currie is a licensed medical aesthetician and certified laser technician with advanced training under the Pastiche Method of Advanced Skin Analysis, Cosmetic Chemistry, and Hormonal Mediated Pigmentation.
Dana has advanced her skills and abilities in many procedures such as laser hair removal, micro-dermabrasions, chemical peels, photo-facials, body contouring/skin tightening, pigmentation/vascular lesions, collagen stimulation, medical grade skincare and much more.
Educating clients on how to achieve healthier skin by understanding the skin’s structure and functions, and promoting health and natural healing through non-invasive modalities is not just a job, but a passion.

She holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and enjoys all things fitness, health and aesthetics. Krissy is a people person and loves chatting with clients. Raechel completed her Medical Office Assistant and Unit Clerk Certification at SAIT in June of 2021. She is very excited to be joining the Team at Elegance Medispa as the Client Care Specialist. Raechel has always had a passion for beauty and medical aesthetics, and is looking to expand her knowledge in this field. Prior to working at Elegance, Raechel worked in senior care as a concierge where she developed strong customer service and personal skills. Raechel strives to go above and beyond in her work, while providing the best customer service possible. When not at the clinic, Raechel enjoys traveling and spending time with her two cats. Raechel is looking forward to starting her journey at Elegance Medispa.

Meredith is a Level II certified Lash Technician offering Classic, Hybrid (blend) and Volume Lashes, as well as Lash Lift and Tint. Her attention to detail and initial consultation to assess clients’ needs has her clients leaving with flawless lashes.
Meredith is a certified Laser and Skin Technician, and has spent many years in the medical field working in both a clinical setting and in Emergency Medical Services as an EMT. She has previous experience in a world renowned dermatology clinic providing Skin Consultations and performing Skin and Laser treatments. Meredith can’t wait to work in a dynamic team, and she is excited to start this new adventure!
